And it is baby season? Just wanted to give a quick shout out to JMC's Trey Hill and his wife and congratulate them on their new arrival! Also want to take a quick moment to slightly deviate from Buckyland to give matching congrats to Bo Bice and family. On top of a new album on the charts - Bo also has a new baby on the way! Guess the touring schedules leave a bit of spare time for extra-curricular activities (grin).
I have been vaguely following this season's American Idol, and have a couple of faves. I popped over to American Idol Forums to check the boards and see what others were saying and left feeling like had traveled back in time. I know many of us have by far found our favorite idol forever (FIF?) but there are still many fans searching high and low for theirs and they are as dedicated as we are. I loved reading the VOTE! threads (hmm, I guess we still post that) and the talk about the hair, the clothes, the songs...umm we still talk about that too. Ok - perhaps I did not travel back in time.
We still need the votes, we still chatter about the hair, the bling, the clothes, the band, the audience. We don't talk so much about Simon, Randy, Paula or Ryan these days. Bucky has a fantastic label and we have an awesome CD that we listen to. So not much has changed, but a lot has changed (how is that for a pearl of wisdom?)
Just a quick reminder, we have a Power Picks WIN opportunity tomorrow. A Different World takes on Carrie Underwood's All American Girl. We will need all hands on deck CMT Power Picks and voting for this one. Show time 11AM ET, looks like the match is towards the end but be ready to vote when it comes up.
Things are still looking good on the Mediabase charts. Keep doing what you are doing and see if you can wrangle a friend or two to join you. It's Good To Be Us is a song that has all it takes to be a Top 10 single, but it needs just a little help to get there.
